Delayed Entry: Enlistee can delay entry into active duty for up to one year.

ROTC: Reserve Officers Training Corps: For students that qualify, they can attend college and also train for military. In exchange for a paid college education and post-college career, students are required to serve in the military after graduation as officers for 8 years.

Enlist for Basic Training: Upon graduation from high school students that meet requirements on ASVAB and physical fitness. Students can go into training for Army Reserves and National Guard if 17 and Junior.

Military College: Depending on whether students receive the ROTC scholarship, determines future required service in the military as officers.

Military Academies: Very competitive entrance requirements including a congressional or LTC Lapham (JROTC) nomination letter. All students that get in attend for free. Once they graduate, they are required to serve in the military for a minimum of 8 years.

Selective Service- Male students upon turning 18 are required to register with the selective service. If the Government was forced to implement a draft for war purposes, males are pulled from this registry pool. Students that do not register can be denied financial aid for college, a job, or benefit. *Click on "Are you 18?" to register!
