Scheduled Delayed Start Wednesday, September 17
This Wednesday, September 17, we will have a 2-hour delayed start for school to allow for teacher professional development. All school buildings will begin their day 2 hours later than regularly scheduled and our buses will be at their stops 2 hours later than regularly scheduled. This does not affect Little Warriors programs, nor does it affect Career Center students. The school ending time will not change.
The 4th Annual "Festival of Tables" Returns November 15 - Join us in participating in this year's Festival of Tables, which is our primary fundraiser for the Grass Lake Educational Foundation. ATTENTION STUDENTS: áIf you plan to drive to/from school,áyou must have a parking permitáon file with the high school office. Click here for a permit form. If you currently have a permit, you will need to stop in the office and verify your information.

First Robotics Advisor Needed
Grass Lake High School is looking for an advisor for their First Robotics team for this school year. Meetings can be held any time outside of school hours. We will provide facilities, a $1,500 per season stipend, and money for materials. If you are interested in pursuing this opportunity, please indicate your interest in an e-mail to doug.moeckel@grasslakeschools.com.
Segment II Driver Ed. Registrations Being Accepted
Grass Lake Community Education is now accepting registrations for our Driver Education Segment II classes being held September 22. 23. 24. and 25 at Grass Lake High School for students who completed Segment I at Grass Lake in January, 2014. Mr. Thompson's Summer Update - 6.27.14
The 2013–2014 school year was another great success.  The class of 2014 will now head out to new opportunities and adventures; we wish them the best of luck.  During the past school year Grass Lake was again a leader in the county in many facets of education.  Grass Lake High School continues to be transcending educational philosophy in the county with its individualized educational approach.  

During the past school year:
·         39 students dual enrolled in 80 college classes earning over 240 college credits
·         45% of the juniors and seniors attended 22 different programs at the Jackson Area Career Center
·         60 students enrolled in 22 diverse online class through Michigan Virtual High School
·         48 students participated in our Advance Placement classes; English, US History, Chemistry, & Statistics
·         2 blended learning opportunities, created by our own instructors are offered, Language Arts 12 and Senior Transitions.  This type of instruction creates more opportunities and flexibility in our student’s schedules. 
·         20 highly qualified teachers instructed our student body in the core required classes and a wide range of exciting elective classes

The opportunities at Grass Lake High School are endless.  An individualized educational program, inspired by excellence, innovation and tradition is the cornerstone for every student to have a great high school experience.
